Fred Elmer Webber was born February 9, 1942 in Shannon County, Missouri to Feird Melton and Sally Rudy (Martin) Webber. He grew up in Shannon County around the Round Springs, Timber, and Shannondale area. He graduated with the class of 1960 Eminence High School. Fred was a proud father and was devoted to his five children: Daniel, Susan, Kevin, Mark, and Jason. Fred worked hard to provide for his family, he was a talented mechanic and was always up for a challenge. Fred worked for Dent County Road and Bridge and retired after thirteen years of dedication. He was most recently employed with Atwoods Ranch and Home Store. Fred was well known, had many friends, and was a very social person who would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He was passionate about bluegrass music and loved attending bluegrass festivals. Fred was a talented dancer and enjoyed square dancing and polka dancing. His pride and joy was his 1967 Skylark convertible, he was a classic car enthusiast and loved attending car shows. Fred was a simple man who truly loved spending time with his family. He treasured his grandchildren and cherished the memories they made together. Fred departed this life March 10, 2022 in Eufaula, Oklahoma at the age of eighty years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving children: Daniel Webber and wife Cherri of Salem, MO, Susan Matthews and husband Wayne of Salem, MO, Kevin Webber and wife Brenda of Eufaula, OK, Mark Webber of Annapolis, MO, and Jason Webber of Salem, MO; brother: Bobby Webber and wife Linda of Salem, MO; sister: Elizabeth Prater and husband Don of Salem, MO; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Preceding him in death, parents: Feird and Sally Webber; brother: Marion “Sonny Boy” Webber; sisters: Christine Webber and Mary Ann Norris. Fred will be remembered as a man of faith, a kind, gentle person, and a strong supporter of his family. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Fred Elmer Webber were held Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Jim Privett officiating. Special Music was provided by the Light Brothers and video “Seminole Wind” was played. Serving as Pallbearers were Cody Webber, Daniel Webber, Ethan Webber, Paul Webber, Ethan Wilson-Webber, and Howard Stewart. Burial was in the Weese Cemetery.
