Janice Carol Kotschedoff

Janice Carol Kotschedoff was born on February 23, 1955, in Salem, Missouri. She was one of three children born to Alfred Jergens and Opal Delores (Stroburg) Kotschedoff. Janice grew up in Salem and graduated with the class of 1973 from Salem High School. Janice was an efficient dental assistant and office manager for many years with Dr. Johnson. She took great pride in her skill and caring for her patients. Her co-workers and patients loved her and the joy she brought to the workplace. When Janice wasn’t in the office, she loved spending time outdoors. She truly enjoyed hiking with her fur babies and made several trips to the Caney Mountain Horse Camp in Arkansas. Janice liked to garden, read, and listen to music. She was an avid learner; she was always learning something new. Most important to Janice was spending time making memories with her family and her precious fur babies Teea and Sadie. She was a beloved aunt and held a very special role in the lives of her nephews and loved them as her own. Her great-nieces and nephew also held a special place in her heart. Janice departed this life on August 20, 2023, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years. She is survived by her loving mother: Opal Kotschedoff of Salem, MO; sister: Sandy Hill and husband Mark of Salem, MO; sister-in-law: Jo Kotschedoff of Salem, MO; nephews: Nathan Kotschedoff and wife Nikki, Brent Kotschedoff and wife Kristy, and Joshua Kotschedoff and wife Casey; great-nieces and nephew: Cami, Carly, Ava, Tristan, Cori, Ryan, and Caity; extended family and dear friends. Preceding her in death, her father: Alfred Kotschedoff; and her brother: James “Jim” Kotschedoff. Janice was a strong Christian woman who lived life to the fullest. Her life was a demonstration of love, kindness, and dedication. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit and forever missed by those who loved her most. Graveside Services for Janice Carol Kotschedoff were held Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Younger officiating.
