Jeanette "Jeannie" Lee Munday

August 16, 1947 - August 25, 2021

Jeanette "Jeannie" Lee Munday was born on August 16, 1947, in Kansas to Archibald Ewing Munday and Norma Louise (Holley) Munday. Jeannie grew up and graduated high school from Deepwater, Missouri. Her family moved to California and Jeannie furthered her education at Bryman College in San Jose, California. They eventually made their way to Missouri and settled in Salem over twenty years ago. Jeannie's career was spent in medical offices from California to Missouri. She worked at Dr. LaBarber's office in Los Gatos, California for fifteen years. Jeannie also spent several years efficiently helping with duties at Dr. Demorlis' office in Salem. Jeannie enjoyed going to auctions and was a collector of many things including glass figurines, depression glass, and antique furniture. She loved wearing jewelry and took pleasure in adding new pieces to her collection. Jeannie enjoyed watching television and Pioneer Woman Cooking show was one of her favorites. She loved her family and friends dearly and cherished many wonderful memories of time spent with them. Jeannie departed this life on August 25, 2021, in the Salem Memorial District Hospital at the age of seventy-four years. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving sister: Holley Munday of Salem, MO; significant other: Norbert Brooks of Salem, MO; special friend: Linda Lowery of St. James, MO; several cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death, father: Jim Munday; and mother: Norma (Holley) Munday. Jeannie was a sweet and caring lady who always shared a smile with those around her. She was special to many and will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Jeanette “Jeannie” Lee Munday were held Monday, August 30, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating. Burial was held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
