Jimmy Dale Hutson

October 2, 1956 - October 11, 2019

Jimmy Dale Hutson was born on October 2, 1956 in Missouri to Glenn Bennett and Betty Lou (Martin) Hutson and passed away on October 11, 2019 St. Louis, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years. Jimmy grew up in the Salem area and graduated from Salem High School with the Class of 1974. He enjoyed playing several sports in high school. After graduation, he was employed with Barard's and International Shoe Factory. He then worked in the St. Louis area for Boling Construction as a heavy equipment operator. Jimmy's passion was music. He was a talented singer and guitar player. Jimmy started with lead guitar then switched to bass. He was involved with several bands throughout his lifetime including "The Tune Tossers", "Katie Lynn and The Last Ride", "Night Train", and "Second Time Around". Music was the biggest part of Jimmy's life and he enjoyed it more than anything. In his spare time, he loved being at the ranch and working with the horses. Jimmy loved his family and friends and cherished time spent with them, especially his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents: Glenn Hutson and Betty Lou Hutson Coppedge; grandparents: Arthur and Hazel Hutson and Wiley and Edna Martin. Jimmy is survived by his son: Jimmy Hutson and wife Irene of Brunswick, GA; two sisters: Glenda Wofford and husband Mike of Salem, MO and Brenda Hanning and husband Randal of Salem, MO; step-father: Robert Coppedge Sr. of Salem, MO; step-siblings: Linda Johns and husband Rick of Rolla, MO, Robert Coppedge and wife Renea of Salem, MO, Virginia Daniels and husband Brian of Alabama, Kirby Coppedge of Salem, MO and Leslie Fore of Salem, MO; two grandchildren: Tyler Hutson and Megan Hutson of Brunswick, GA; special friend: Lisa Green of Salem, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Jimmy will be known for his great words of encouragement, big laughs along with a big smile and hug that made you feel important. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
