Julia "Betty" Elizabeth (Lynch) Decker

Julia “Betty” Elizabeth (Lynch) Decker was born on September 27, 1933, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Raymond and Edna (Davis) Lynch. Betty grew up, attended school, and met the love of her life, Billy Wayne Decker, in West Virginia. On December 16, 1954, Betty and Bill were united in marriage and to this union blessed with four children: Michael, Susan, Teresa, and Edna. Betty was a dedicated military wife, a loving mother, and devoted homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her home and raising her family. Betty adored her grandchildren and treasured her great-grandchildren. She cherished the memories they made together and loved watching them grow. Betty loved playing solitaire and enjoyed singing. She was gifted a beautiful voice and sang while Bill played the guitar. Together they loved going to the nursing homes and sharing their gifts at church. Betty was a good Christian woman and member of Walking Faith Ministries. She loved reading her Bible and proudly read it through several times. Betty entered eternal rest on August 27, 2023, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years. Those left behind to treasure her memory are her loving children: Michael Decker and Kristina of Salem, MO and Susan Raulston and husband Roy of Salem, MO; siblings: Remonda Trent and husband Steve, John Lynch, Roger Lynch, and Dale Gombarcik and wife Debra all of West Virginia; grandchildren: Eric Brokering and wife Crystal, Sean Cannefax and Kadi, Matt French, Ashley Decker, Adam Decker and Kayla, and Damian Ayers; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, loving husband: Bill Decker; daughter: Teresa French; infant daughter: Edna Rae Decker; parents: Raymond and Edna Lynch; and brother: Junior Lynch. Betty leaves a long-lasting legacy of love and devotion. Her memories will live on in the many lives she has touched along the way. Betty will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Julia “Betty” Elizabeth Decker were held Friday, September 1, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Lyndell Decker officiating. Special Music was provided by Sister Ashley Decker. Serving as Pallbearers were Adam Decker, Damian Ayers, Sean Cannefax, Eric Brokering, Jake Quick, and Darrell Decker.
