Rev. Linus E. Crouch

October 11, 1928 - May 14, 2022

Rev. Linus E. Crouch was born on October 11, 1928, in Dent County, Missouri to Asbury David and Ressie Mae (Neal) Crouch and departed this life on May 14, 2022, in Salem, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years. Linus was united in marriage to the love of his life, Harriet Ruth Haas on January 28, 1951 and together shared sixty-three wonderful years of marriage. Linus and Harriet were blessed with one daughter, Joyce Diane. Linus worked hard throughout his life. During World War II, at the age of sixteen, he worked at The American Stove Company in St. Louis and built 500-pound bomb casings for the military. After the war ended, he came back home and continued to work hard for his family. Throughout the years he was employed with Dalton Dairy, the Coke Bottling Plant, and laid carpet for both Bottorff and Schafer’s Furniture. Linus and Harriet were owners of Wet Pets Aquarium and enjoyed working together and serving the community. Linus was saved at the age of nineteen and gave all he had to serve the Lord. He was ordained as a minister in the mid-1980’s. He loved the Lord and loved to preach the Word. Linus pastored at Flat Church of God for many years. He loved reading his Bible and loved singing in church with his family. Linus was a true man of God who truly dedicated himself to the Lord and let the light of the Lord shine through him. Linus was a devoted husband to Harriet and a proud father to Joyce. He cherished making memories with his granddaughters and treasured the time spent with his great-grandchildren. Linus leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother: Eugene Crouch of Salem, MO; son-in-law: Steve Bramblett of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Angela Christesen of Salem, MO; Ashley Peyton and husband Travis of Salem, MO, and Stephanie Bramblett of Rolla, MO; great-grandchildren: Drew, Will, and Luke Christesen, Tanner and Alivia Peyton, and Eli Bramblett; extended family and dear friends. Preceding him in death, his loving wife: Harriet Crouch; beloved daughter: Joyce Bramblett; parents: Asbury and Ressie Crouch; sister: Madonna Mosley; and brother: Marvin Crouch. Linus was a great friend and advisor to many. He always pointed others to Jesus and was thankful in all circumstances. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul, a man of integrity, warmth, and compassion who was respected and loved by so many who had the honor to know him in this life.
