Mildred Violet Pyatt

Mildred Violet Pyatt was born July 20, 1936 in Hartshorn, Missouri to James and Gladys (Steelman) Sykes and passed away October 11, 2018 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years. Mildred grew up in the Hartshorn area and attended school at Round Pond and in Summersville. On January 28, 1952, Mildred was united in marriage to Willard Wesley Pyatt and to this union three loving children were born; James, Mary, and Jerry. She enjoyed being a homemaker; she took great pride in caring for her family. Mildred loved the farm life; working on the farm was a passion and just being outside brought her joy. In her spare time, Mildred loved gardening, collecting family recipes, gathering mushrooms, fishing, hunting, riding horses and 4-wheelers with the family. She really loved visiting and helping her close neighbors too. Mildred especially cherished time with her family. Survivors include her loving children: James Pyatt and wife, Laura of Salem MO, Mary McFarland of Salem, MO, Jerry Pyatt and wife, Michelle of Eureka, MO; grandchildren: Kim Adair and husband, Paul of Rolla, MO, Jacey Garcia and husband, Paul of St. Robert, MO, Morgan Roberds and husband, Chris of Tucson, AZ, Michael McFarland and wife, Felicia of Salem, MO, Willard McFarland and wife, Amber of Springfield, MO, Julie McFarland of Salem, MO, Jared Wesley Pyatt and wife, Amy of Joplin, MO and Nick Pyatt and wife, Lindsey of Eureka, MO; great grandchildren: Conner and Emily Bostock, Colt, Preston, Patience, Paxton and Piper McFarland, Tyson Wesley, Finley, Owen and Avery Pyatt, and Adriel, Eliyas and Ian Garcia. Preceding her in death were her parents, Oscar and Gladys Sykes; sisters, Ethel Sykes, Bertha Ray, Thelma Pittman, Alta Hogan, Ileda Sykes; brothers, Raymond Sykes, and Thurman Sykes. Mildred will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Funeral service for Mildred Violet Pyatt was held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Jason Brown and Pastor Paul Davis officiating, special music was provided by the Mark Mathes family. Serving as pallbearers were, Jared Pyatt, Michael McFarland, Nick Pyatt, Willard McFarland, Bob Pyatt and Greg Orchard. Burial was in the Carty Cemetery.
