Montie L. Foster was born September 8, 1931 in Black, Missouri to Lexie and Daisy (Reynolds) Foster and passed away August 21, 2018 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years. Montie Foster was married to Faye Crocker Foster for 58 years and was later united in marriage to Neda (Gore) Foster. Montie grew up in Black, Missouri and worked for Cominco Lead Mines as a supervisor underground for most of his career. He enjoyed racing and he was awesome doing it. He drag raced cars and later he raced buggies. He was a hunter and fisherman, loved traveling, especially to Colorado. He also enjoyed gardening tomatoes, cucumbers, and roses. Montie belonged to the Black River Jeep Club. Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Faye Foster; siblings, Vivian Johnson, Eunice Parrish, and John Foster. Survivors include his wife, Neda Foster, Salem; daughters, Marie Camden, Salem; Norma Johnson and husband, Steven, Salem; Mary Ogle and husband, Steve, Clever; step-son, Charles Foster, Cape Girardeau; step-daughter, Lisa Liebel and husband, John, Liberty; grandchildren, Stacy Camden and wife, Christine, Dittmer; Adam Camden, Warrenton; Jerod Camden and wife, Tasha, St. Charles; Marty Johnson and wife, Sara, Viburnum; Holly Carolus and husband, Greg, Salem; Jenny Wilken and husband, Aaron, Springfield; Robby Ogle and wife, Dawn, Springfield; Reuben Ogle and wife, Ashley, Springfield; step-grandchildren, Shelby Liebel and husband, Michael, Liberty; Holly Liebel, Liberty; Chloe Foster, Cape Girardeau; 23 great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Montie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral service for Montie L. Foster was held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Charles Foster officiating, special CD selections were played. Serving as pallbearers were, Charles Foster, John Liebel, Stacy Camden, Jerod Camden, Marty Johnson and Talon Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were, Lexi Johnson and Alex Johnson. Interment was in the Brown Cemetery in Reynolds County.
