Ollie Venita (McMullin) Conder

Ollie Venita (McMullin) Conder was born on August 15, 1953 in Boss, Missouri to George Riley and Lula Jane (Moore) McMullin. Venita was one of sixteen and grew up “down south” on the family farm outside of Boss. She graduated with the class of 1972 from Bunker High School. Venita was the proud mother of four children, Floyd III, Matthew, Contessa, and Betty. She was united in marriage to her sweetheart, John C. Conder Sr., on March 15, 1996 in Warrenton, Missouri and this union she gained five children, Myles, John Jr., Dennis, Cathy, and Doug. Venita and John shared twenty-four years of laughter and lasting memories before his passing December 9, 2020. Venita took great pride in raising her family and providing for her home. She worked in the nursing field for many years where her kindness, caring, and compassion always stood out. Venita later worked in the cafeteria at Hawk Point Elementary. Her unconditional love and care for the students left a lasting impact on their lives. Venita was known to many as “Grandma Nita”. Venita had talented hands and loved to sew. She was very creative which showed in all her arts and crafts. Venita was always looking for a bargain and frequently visited thrift stores and yard sales. Venita was a lady of great faith and an encourager to many. She was a member of the Pentecostal Power Ministries in Warrenton, Missouri and enjoyed attending Reach Church in Montgomery City. Venita truly believed that the most important things in life were her faith, family, and friends. Her greatest joy was making memories with her family. She loved spending time with her children and watching her grandchildren grow. Venita was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She valued and treasured the time spent them. Venita departed this life July 8, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Bellflower, Missouri at the age of sixty-eight years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children: Floyd Niswonger III of Truxton, MO, Matthew Niswonger and wife Crystal of Bellflower, MO, Contessa Tripp of Bellflower, MO, and Betty Farmer and fiancé Shawn Dodge of Hawk Point, MO; step-children: Myles Conder and wife Delane of Bellflower, MO, John Conder Jr. of Hawk Point, MO, Dennis Conder of Hawk Point, MO, Cathy Conoyer and husband Denny of Troy, MO, and Doug Conder and wife Jancie of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren: Austin, Shana, Dylan and wife Jen, Keyaira, Samantha, Joseph, Breaira, Floyd IV, Shaylee, Kaidance, Vyctoria, and Lyllyana; great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Maliea, Jaxsen, and Avianna; sisters: Millie Adkins and Rose Brooks and husband Ron; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Preceding her in death was her husband: John Conder; parents: George and Lula McMullin; sisters: Geniva Hart, Bertha Rainwater, Lula Bell Wesley, Pauline Dodson, Betty Lee, and Elizabeth Botkin; and brothers: Edward McMullin, Floyd McMullin, Everett McMullin, Little Lewis McMullin, George McMullin, Jim McMullin, and Richard McMullin. Venita was a joy to be around and holds a special place in the hearts of many. Her love shines through her contagious smile and sweet spirit. Venita will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Ollie Venita (McMullin) Conder were held Monday, July 11, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating. Song selections played were “Here I Am To Worship”, “My Lord Keeps A Record”, “Hold To God Unchanging Hands”, and “Scars in Heaven”. Serving as Pallbearers were Floyd Niswonder III, Joseph Smigiel III, Shawn Dodge, Steven McMullin, Andrew Bullock, and Bradley Campbell. Burial was in the Westfork Cemetery in Reynolds County, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
