Patsy Ann Wells was born on September 21, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Doyle Edward and Lena Mae (Bounds) Wells. She was raised in Dent County, Missouri near Turtle. Patsy was the proud mother of four children: Sherri, Kevin, Keith, and James. She took great pride in raising her family and caring for her home. Patsy was employed as a waitress most of her working life. She lived in Branson for several years and worked at the Branson Café. Patsy moved back to Salem to be closer to her family and started working as a manager for the Sheltered Workshop in Bunker. She loved helping others and had a special gift of working with and caring for the elderly. Patsy was a people person and didn’t know a stranger. She liked spending time outside enjoying what nature provides and tending to her garden. Patsy was known for her green thumb and enjoyed her beautiful flowers. She prided herself on rearranging furniture in every space she entered and loved watching Old Westerns. Patsy was a lady of faith and longtime member of Ohlman Baptist Church. She enjoyed the fellowship until her health no longer allowed and then attended Mount Olive Church. Her faith and family were the most important things to her. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her great joy. Patsy cherished her great-grandchildren and treasured the memories they made together. Patsy departed this life on April 30, 2022 in Salem, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving children: Sherri Parks and husband Gary of Salem, MO, Kevin Green of Salem, MO, Keith Green and wife Shawna of Salem, MO, and James Wood of Salem, MO; siblings: Elaine Stricklin and husband Steve of Salem, MO, Doris Skaggs and husband Danny of Salem, MO, and Gary Wells and wife Robin of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Zach Parks and wife Mandi, Trevor Parks, Alyssa Brown and husband Josh, Brittney Green, Miquela Burkman and husband Cordie, Mckenna Green and fiancé Gary Meeker, Darick Green and wife Emily, Emily Green, Allie Green, and Shylah Keeter; five great-grandchildren with two more on the way; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death, parents: Doyle and Lena Wells. Patsy will be forever missed but never forgotten. Her memories will live on in those who loved her most. Funeral Services for Patsy Ann Wells were held Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Terry Sharpe and Pastor Larry Nash officiating. Song selections played were “Til You Can’t” and “I Can Only Imagine”. Serving as Pallbearers were Keith Green, Kevin Green, Zach Parks, Trevor Parks, Darick Green, Jennifer Lewis, “Rufus” Gary Skaggs, and Eric Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers were Dana Nath, Hannah Ball, Glyniece Reed, Martha Click, and Josh Brown. Burial was in Miner Cemetery.
