Paul Wayne Camden Sr.

August 26, 1935 - September 14, 2018

Paul Wayne Camden, Sr. was born August 26, 1935 in Alton, Missouri to William Howard and Edna Mae (Herman) Camden and passed away September 14, 2018, in Salem Memorial District Hospital of Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty-three years. Paul faithfully and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. On May 16, 1958 Paul was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Flippin in Camdenton, Missouri and to this union two loving children were born, Paul and Terrie. Paul owned and operated an excavating business; and was proud of the work he done for the community. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop. Paul was a member of the American Legion for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Eldon. Most of all, Paul loved and enjoyed the time spent with his wonderful family, especially his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Edna Camden; siblings, Betty Hawkins, Sue Cooley, Phyllis Cluchey, Glen Camden and infant brother Sonny Camden. Survivors include his wife, Shirley of the home; children, Paul Camden, Jr. and wife, Tina of Salem, and Terrie Welch and husband, Chris of Salem; sister, Barbara Miller; brother, Kenny Camden and wife, Gerry; grandchildren, Klay Camden and wife, Shauna of Newnan, Georgia, Dustin Camden of Rolla, Joey Camden of Springfield, Kayla Welch of Columbia; great grandchildren, Harley, Sawyer and Parker of Newnan, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Paul will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral service for Paul Wayne Camden, Sr. was held Monday, September 17, 2018 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chuck Henderson and Jim Jacobs officiating, special music was provided by Lisa Wulff and David Hancock. Serving as pallbearers were, Klay Camden, Joey Camden, Dustin Camden, Eddie Wilson, Ben Miller and Rick Hoyt. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
