Pink Lovell was born March 27, 1928 to Robert and Katie Lovell in Cullman, Alabama and passed away July 16, 2019 at his home in Salem, MO at the age of 91. He was one of ten brothers and sisters all of whom preceded him in death. Pink grew up in Alabama and married Daisy Densmore on August 16, 1947. They had three daughters, Shirley, Lorine and Joyce. Pink enjoyed working in the coal mines in Alabama with his father-in-law. Later he and his family moved to Butte, Montana where he enjoyed the copper mines and playing in the snow. In 1968 they moved to Salem, MO where he worked in the lead mines. He met and married Helen Lucille Conway on January 4, 1977 in St. James, MO. They had one son, Bradley Lovell born July 27, 1978. Pink is proceeded in death by his parents; all his brothers and sisters; wife, Daisy Lovell; son Bradley Lovell; stepson Johnny Dale Conway; daughter Shirley Downs; one granddaughter Wendy; one grandson Kevin and one son-in-law Johnny Downs, Sr. Pink is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lucille Lovell of Salem; two daughters: Lorine Maijala and husband Dan of Salem and Joyce Johns and husband Robert of Jefferson City/Salem; two step children: Randy Conway and wife Mandi of Salem, MO and Bonnie Brooks and fiancé Jimmie Walker of Salem, MO. Grandchildren: Johnny Downs, Jr (wife Michelle) of Alabama, Brian Maijala (wife Jennifer,) of Texas, Shawn Maijala (wife Jessica) of Doniphan, MO, Kyle Johns of Jefferson City, MO and Sara Johns of Kansas, Goldie Conway of St. Louis, Amanda Murr (husband Curt), Arron Brooks, Jacob Conway (wife Marissa), Logan Conway (wife Jordan), Jesslyn Hutchings (husband Dan) Jase Walker all of Salem, MO. Jessica Conway and Nichole Conway both of Holt Summit, MO; twenty-five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Service for Pink Lovell was held Saturday, July 20, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Charlie Younger officiating. The obituary was read by his daughter Joyce Johns and his grandson Brian Maijala shared the eulogy. Special music was provided by Jake Conway. Serving as Pallbearers were Brian Maijala, Shawn Maijala, Kyle Johns, Aaron Brooks, Jacob Conway and Logan Conway. Honorary Pallbearers were Dawson Conway and Josh Dalmain. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. All arrangements were under the care and direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
