Tyler Ray Land

August 25, 1992 - August 29, 2021

Tyler Ray Land was born on August 25, 1992, in Rolla, Missouri to Christopher Michael Land and Megan Beth Horning. Tyler grew up in Salem and attended Salem Middle School. He later attended Rolla High School. Although he didn’t graduate, he worked hard to obtain his GED. Tyler loved landscape work and got a delight in standing back, looking at his finished work. He loved the outdoors and loved doing any outdoor work. Tyler took great pride in helping his family making sure their yards look nice. In his younger years, Tyler liked hunting and fishing. He was one of a kind and loved having a good time floating the river, camping, or sitting around the bonfire. Tyler enjoyed hanging out with his friends but deeply treasured the time spent with his family. Tyler passed away on August 29, 2021, in Salem, Missouri at age of twenty-nine years. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, mother: Megan Horning and fiancé Carl Foster of Springfield, MO; father: Mike Land and wife Michal of Norman, OK; step-father: Ronald Vassalli III; siblings: Bailey Vassalli, Cody Land, Lucy Land, Collin Land, and Eli Land; grandparents: Ronald and Linda Vassalli Jr. and Dennis and Tina Land; great-grandfather: Ronald Vassalli Sr.; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death, brother: Aaron Land; grandparents: Ted and Carmen Horning and Arlene Davis; great-grandparents: Dwain and Walfriede Stroburg, Katherine Vassali, and Pauline Davis. Tyler will be forever missed by his family and friends, his memories will live on in those who knew and loved him. Memorial Services for Tyler Ray Land were held Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Matt Milligan officiating and several sharing memories. Song selections played were “Broken Halo”, “She Talks To Angels”, and “Seven Bridges Road”. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
