Verlin G. Madison

Verlin G. Madison was born August 19, 1938 in Houston, Missouri to Bill and Dorothy (Hutsell) Madison and passed away February 22, 2019 in the Salem Memorial District Hospital of Salem, Missouri at the age of eighty years. Verlin grew up in Plato, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Loretta Black. Verlin worked as an electrician for Royal Oak. He loved fishing, deer hunting, stock car racing and watching NASCAR. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bill and Dorothy Madison; two children, Glenn Madison and Jimmy Madison; and sister, Jean Carter. Survivors include his two daughters, Teresa Crain and husband, Roger of Salem, MO, and Brenda Pewitt and husband, Dennis of Salem, MO; one brother, Billy Madison and wife, Nellie of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Pat Wood of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Verlin will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral service for Verlin Glenn Madison was held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Lyndell Decker officiating. Dennis Pewitt and Kristi Craig shared special music; "Old Rugged Cross"and "Because He Lives". Serving as pallbearers were Brian Cox, Bobby Wood, Dewayne Breeding, Roger Crain, Nick Cater and Donald Ray Quick. Interment was in the Dutch Chapel Cemetery in Wright County, Missouri.
