Arthur Richard Williams

Arthur Richard Williams was born on November 14, 1930, in Bloodland, Missouri, to Howard and Opal (Delong) Williams. He entered eternal rest on January 9, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years. On January 21, 1950, Arthur was united in marriage to the love of his life, Anna Lucille Pritchett. They shared seventy-three years of marriage and memories together and were blessed with two children: Loretta and Richard. Arthur was a hard worker. In March of 1951, Arthur started working for Caterpillar. He retired after many dedicated years. In his spare time, Arthur enjoyed fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks and watching the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball games. Arthur cherished his family and loved spending time with them. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his absolute pride and joy. His faith was strong, and he liked attending worship services at Salem United Baptist Church. Arthur is survived by his loving wife: Lucille Williams of Salem, MO; daughter: Loretta Fandel of Salem, MO; son: Richard Williams and wife Karen of Stover, MO; grandchildren: Tracy Coburn and husband Kevin, Richard Williams, and Rachel Vandiver and husband Josh; great-grandchildren: Jason Coburn, Ryan Coburn and wife Carly, Deanna Whitaker and husband Thomas, Dalynn Vandiver, Archer Vandiver, and Harper Vandiver; one great-great-grandbaby on the way; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Howard and Opal Williams; siblings: Marie Collins, Eugene Williams, Zora Pease, and Carolyn Prock; and his son-in-law: Roger Fandel. Arthur loved to sing and will be remembered for his beautiful voice. His legacy of faith, family, and friends will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him most. Funeral Services for Arthur Richard Williams were held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Burns officiating. Special Music was provided by Kathy Burns and Kevin Coburn. Serving as Pallbearers were Damien Culbertson, Thomas Whitaker, Richard Williams, Kevin Coburn, and Joshua Vandiver. Honorary Pallbearer was Debbie Hinds. Burial was in the Hooker Cemetery, Pulaski County, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Arthur Williams to Hooker Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
