Daniel "Danny" Oscar Pax

Daniel Oscar Pax was born on June 10, 1958, in Pampa, Texas. He was the son of Richard and Virgie (Huskey) Pax. In 1964, his family relocated to Dent County, Missouri. Danny grew up in Gladden, Missouri, in a large loving family with eight siblings. On September 6, 1975, at Timber Church, Danny was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cindy Enloe. They shared over nearly fifty years creating lasting memories together. Danny and Cindy were blessed with three children: Daniel, Elizabeth, and Marcus and proudly raised their granddaughter Kylie as their own. Danny was a hard worker and spent his working career in the sawmill industry. He worked with Whiteside Timber Co. from 1979 until he retired in 2011. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and was often found fishing with his buddy Mark or mushroom hunting. As Danny got older, his naps were something he looked forward to. Above all else, his family was most important to Danny. He cherished the times being called Pawpaw and treasured spent making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Danny was a godly man who loved the Lord. He set a great example to others by reading his Bible and applying it to his daily life. He was a dedicated member of Timber Church. Danny entered into eternal rest February 27, 2025, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years. He is survived by his loving wife: Cindy Pax of Lenox, MO; children: Daniel Pax and Ronald Cobbs of St. Louis, MO, Elizabeth Pax and Chris Shea of Salem, MO, Marcus Pax of Steelville, MO, and Kylie Potter and Giddeon Shelby of Salem, MO; siblings: Virgil Pax, Earl Pax and wife Betty, and Elizabeth Wallis and husband Stanley all of Salem, MO; brother-in-law: Ron Mosley; sister-in-law: Linda Pax; nine granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Richard and Virgie (Huskey) Pax; and siblings: Samuel Pax, Helen Light, Ann Click, Becky Mosley, Mary Barnes, and James Pax. Danny was a well thought of man with a great sense of humor. He found great joy in teasing and aggravating others. True to his stubborn nature, he fought until the very end. Danny will be fondly remembered and never forgotten. Funeral Services for Daniel Oscar Pax were held Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Lonnie Mosley officiating. Special Music was provided and additional song selection played was “Amazing Grace (Bagpipes Version)”. Serving as Pallbearers were Alex Hamilton, Daniel Pax, Marcus Pax, Ronald Pax, Paul Pax, and Brad Enloe. Burial was in the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Danny Pax to Wilson Mortuary to help with final expenses.
