Gracia Lucille (Haas) Hanger

Gracia Lucille (Haas) Hanger was born October 22, 1928, to Ferdinand J. Haas and Flossie Mae (Watkins) Haas. Gracia passed away on September 22, 2022, at Muskogee Nursing Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of ninety-three years and eleven months. Gracia married Ernest Hanger on May 25, 1946, and to this union they had six children: Larry Eugene Hanger, Judith Kay Warner, Susan Faye Calhoon, Ronald James Hanger, William Ernest Hanger, and Jimmie Lee Hanger. She was a loving Christian woman. Gracia was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Gracia was preceded in death by her husband of almost fifty years. Her mother and father; stepmother; two sons: Larry Hanger, Ronald J. Hanger; great-granddaughter: Cheryl Burkhart; great-great-grandson: Junior Minor; brothers: Elmer Haas and Buddy Haas; sisters: Hazel Hume, Maggie Peterson, Lucille Haas, Louise Fink, Erma Sacks, and Lois Haas; and a special niece: Debbie Sellers. Gracia is survived by her loving children: Judy Warner (John) of Bucyrus, MO. Susan Calhoon (Tom) of Muskogee, OK, Willie Hanger (Pam) of Salem, MO and Jimmie Hanger (Debbie) of Salem, MO; five sisters: Maxine Hume of Buffalo, MO, Nancy Sellers (J.D.) of Belle MO, Leona Mae Walker of Salem, MO, Eva Fink of Salem, MO and Linda Light of Texas; one brother: Jerry Haas (Elaine) of Hillsboro, MO; fifty-three grandchildren, sixty-four great-grandchildren and thirty-seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousin and dear friends. Funeral Services for Gracia Lucille (Haas) Hanger were held Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Song selections played were “Living By Faith”, “Old Rugged Cross”, “Beulah Land”, and “What A Day That Will Be”. Special Music was provided by Marilyn singing “Amazing Grace”. Serving as Pallbearers were Justin Hanger, Christopher Hanger, Dustin Fore, Joey Teoli, Earnie Moore, Bryan Calhoon, Coby Warner, Robert Calhoon, Dustin Dooley, Bradley Yates, Kevin Warner, Michael yates, and Chuck Burkhart. Honorary Pallbearers were Jimmie Hanger, Willie Hanger, Thomas Calhoon, Johnny Warner, and her grandsons and great-grandsons. Burial was in the Carty Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to Carty Cemetery in memory of Gracia L. Hanger and left at Wilson Mortuary.
