Jerry Joe Clements

Jerry Joe Clements was born October 20, 1937, in Leadwood, Missouri. He was one of two children born to Lowell Leslie and Grace Emily (Mathes) Clements. Jerry grew up and attended grade school in Buick, Missouri. He graduated in 1955 from Valley Caledonia High School. On October 20, 1956, Jerry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Donna Faye Hedrick. They shared sixty-seven years of marriage, laughter, and lasting memories together. Jerry and Donna were blessed with three children: Barry, Tammy, and Beth. Jerry was a dedicated worker and worked hard to provide for his family. During his working career he worked with Craig Distributing, Holsum Bread, and retired from St. Joe Lead Mines. Jerry liked being outdoors and working on the farm. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family in Branson, at Clearwater Lake, and Red Bluff Campground. Jerry was a proud grandfather and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He truly loved spending time with them and treasured the memories they made together. Jerry was a strong man of faith. He was a long-time member at New Harmony United Baptist Church where he served as the church clerk for many years. In his later years he enjoyed attending Salem First Baptist Church. Jerry entered into eternal rest February 16, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years. Those left behind to treasure his memory include his loving wife: Donna Clements of Boss, MO; son: Barry Clements and wife Tina of Viburnum, MO; daughters: Tammy Wisdom and husband Randy of Howes Mill, MO and Beth Myers of Boss, MO; sister: Janet Pryor of Florida; grandchildren: Amanda Harris and husband Garrett, Briana Ferris and husband Colt, Jacob Clements, Heather Johnson and husband Drew, Amber Hogan and husband Chris, Hope Seay and husband Marcus, Ken Washausen Jr. and wife Chastidy, and Tyler Washausen; many great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Lowell and Grace Clements; brothers-in-law: Lotis Pryor and Delbert Headrick; and sister-in-law: Karen Moore. His legacy of love, loyalty, strength, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Jerry Joe Clements were held Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Macedonia United Baptist Church in Boss, Missouri, with Pastor Bill Mathes and Pastor Heath Garrison officiating. Special Music was provided by Mark Mathes along with Steve and Pat Connors. Serving as Pallbearers were Ken John Washausen Jr., Tyler James Washausen, Jacob Austin Clements, Randy Devern Widsom, Ken John Washausen Sr., and Clinton Dotson. Honorary Pallbearer was Randy Pryor. Burial was in the Boss Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Jerry Clements to the American Cancer Society and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
