Jessica Claudeane (Hawkins) Raulston

Jessica Claudeane (Hawkins) Raulston was born on May 12, 1977, in Houston, Missouri. She was one of three daughters born to Roger and Brenda (Plowman) Hawkins. Jessica grew up in Salem and graduated in 1995 from Salem High School. She then furthered her education with Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri. On September 3, 2010, Jessica married the love of her life, Matthew Raulston, at one of her favorite places Cross Country Trail Rides in Eminence, Missouri. Together they shared a beautiful life with love and lasting memories. Jessica was currently working in quality control at MO-Sci Corporation. Prior to her time there, she worked at Mar-Bal and Briggs and Stratton. Jessica was also the proud owner of Meramec River Aussies where she raised Australian Shepherds. Jessica had a great passion for horses. She loved riding and spent much of her time at Cross Country Trail Rides with her special horse Bart. During her college years, she competed in horse shows and barrel racing, earning several buckles. She also cherished the outdoors, especially the fun adventures camping and floating along the Current River and Meramec River. At the age of thirteen, Jessica accepted her faith and was saved. She lived her life as a testament of strength and grace, especially throughout her courageous battle. She entered her Heavenly Home March 15, 2026, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years. Jessica is survived by her loving husband: Matt Raulston of Salem, MO; father: Roger Hawkins and wife Devlyn of Hartshorn, MO; mother-in-law: Brenda Kunkel and husband Dean; grandmother: Bonnie Hawkins-Ament; sisters: Amanda Gray and husband Davey of Salem, MO and Casandra Hamilton and husband Phil of St. James, MO; brother-in-law: Jason Raulston and wife Tara of Salem, MO; nieces and nephews: David Gray Jr., Colton Hamilton, Lauryn Cervantes and husband Jonathan, Ciera Hamilton, Dawson Gray, Devin Gray, Carly Hamilton, and Jude Raulston; one great-niece and one great-nephew; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her mother: Brenda (Plowman) Hawkins; grandfather: Claude Hawkins; and grandparents: Jess and Charlene Plowman. Jessica will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her outgoing nature, her love of cowboy boots, and her familiar phase, “I’m Fine”. Her kindness, strength, and joyful spirit will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Celebration of Life Services were held Friday, March 20, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Lyndell Decker and Bro. Billy Miller officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Jessica Raulston to help with final expenses and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
