Larry Arthur Helton

Larry Arthur Helton was born February 23, 1947 in St. Louis County, Missouri to Arthur V. and Faye (Baird) Helton and passed away March 7, 2021 at his home in Florissant, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years. Larry grew up in St. Ann, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Pattonville High School. He was drafted into the United States Army on January 15, 1969 and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge on July 31, 1975. During his time in the military, he served during the Vietnam War and earned many decorations, medals, badges, and awards. Larry was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Angie Sullivan, on October 14, 1974 and together shared forty-six years of memories. Larry was blessed with two children, Teresa and Dennis. Larry had a strong work ethic and was a hairdresser his entire working career. He thoroughly enjoyed taking care of his clients. In his younger years, Larry spent his summers and weekends in Salem with his grandparents. He enjoyed time outdoors hunting and fishing. Larry liked to bowl, watch football and baseball, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. His family was most important to him and he cherished making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Larry is survived by his loving wife Angie Helton of the home; daughter: Teresa Hinni of Florissant, MO; grandson: Dylon Jackson of St. Peters, MO; granddaughter: Sarah Goldacker of Florissant, MO; great-grandson: Logan Goldacker of Florissant, MO; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death, parents: Arthur and Faye (Baird) Helton; son: Dennis Jackson; son-in-law: Brian Hinni; and grandson: Michael Goldacker. Larry will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Larry Arthur Helton were held Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating. Song selection played was “Peace In The Valley”. Serving as Pallbearers were his loving family. Burial was in the Carty Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
