Linda Sue (White) Mahurin

Linda Sue (White) Mahurin was born February 23, 1949, in Salem, Missouri, to Winford and Maxine (Wofford) White, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years. On December 31, 1977, Linda Sue White united in marriage to Jerry Wayne Mahurin at Salem Full Gospel Church. They spent thirty-four beautiful years together before Jerry’s passing in 2011. Linda was a devoted wife, a loving sister, a cherished aunt, and a friend to all who knew her. Linda was an avid quilter and took great pride in her work. She spent many hours making quilts and potholders, then gifting them to family and friends. She loved jewelry, going to yard sales, watching Gun Smoke and The Rifleman on TV, learning to play the piano, playing Aggravation and UNO with her family. Linda was a UNO expert and was always the winner. Linda cherished her fur babies and spoiled many over the years. Linda had a heart as big as the sky. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel like family. Above all, Linda loved Jesus wholeheartedly. She grew up in church and attended Salem Full Gospel and Revival Tabernacle Church of God for many years. Linda leaves behind a family who adored her, including her siblings: Berniece Robinson of Salem, MO, Connie Fitchhorn of Salem, MO, Dorothy (Dee) Mills and husband Tom of St. Robert, MO, Bill White and wife Vickie of Salem, MO, and Ronnie White and wife Reta of Branson, MO; nieces and nephews: Sheri, Christina, John, Melanie, Wendy, Trevor, Eric, and Travis; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband: Jerry Mahurin; parents: Winford and Maxine White; and her brothers-in-law: Robert Robinson and Davie Fitchhorn; and great-niece: Ciarra Maize. Linda’s presence will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Funeral Services for Linda Sue (White) Mahurin were held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Bill Stack and Sister Sheri Stack officiating. Songs sung were “Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus” and “What A Day That Will Be”. Serving as Pallbearers were Justin Roark, John Mills, Matthew McCarthy, Trevor White, Tim McCarthy, and Travis White. Honorary Pallbearer was Nathan McCarthy. Burial was in the North Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
