Lula Bell (McMullin) Wesley

Lula Bell (McMullin) Wesley was born September 13, 1941 in Reynolds County, Missouri to George Riley and Lula Jane (Moore) McMullin and passed away December 18, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years. Lula was one of sixteen and grew up on the family farm outside Boss, Missouri. She was a lifelong member of West Fork Baptist Church and attended school there. Lula a proud mother to her seven children: Tommy, Peggy, Dennis, Kathy, David, Jack, and Charles. Lula took great pride in caring for her family, she was a caregiver by heart and enjoyed her years spent as a CNA at Troy Hospital. Lula adored her large family and loved spending time with them, especially the time spent with her sisters. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lula enjoyed playing bingo and spending time at the river fishing. Lula is survived by her five children: David Cerda and wife Rebecca of Truxton, MO, Charles Wesley and wife Jody of Bellflower, MO, Jack Wesley of Warrenton, MO, Kathy Carnahan of Zelma, MO, and Peggy Zumwalt of Warrenton, MO; four sisters: Elizabeth Botkins, Venita Conder and husband John, Millie Adkins, and Rose Brooks and husband Ron; sister-n-law: Alice McMullin; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Preceding her in death were two Children: Dennis Cerda and Tommy McMullin; parents: George and Lula McMullin; sisters: Geniva Hart, Pauline Dodson, Bertha Rainwater, and Betty Lee; brothers: Edward McMullin, Floyd McMullin, Louis McMullin, Everett McMullin, James McMullin, Richard McMullin, and George McMullin. Lula will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Lula Bell (McMullin) Wesley were held Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Garry Mathes officiating. Special Music was provided by Kelly Botkin, Helen Baker and Rose Brooks. Additional song selections played were "Amazing Grace", "Precious Memories", and "I'll Fly Away". Serving as Pallbearers were Dusty Paul, Riley McMullin, Dylan McMullin, Mark Smith, Stevie McMullin, and Andy Bullock. Burial was in the West Fork Cemetery. All arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri
