Marvin Earl Weible

Marvin Earl Weible was born June 5, 1932, in Centerville, Missouri to Clarence H. and Ola “Dessie” (Lay) Weible. He grew up in Reynolds County, Missouri and graduated from Bunker High School. Marvin enlisted into the United States Air Force February 29, 1952 and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge January 31, 1960. During his time in the military he served during the Korean War and earned many decorations, medals, badges, ribbons, and awards. Marvin was united in marriage to the love of his life, Hazel Darlene Teague, and blessed with many years of memories before her passing April 2, 1974. Marvin and Darlene were blessed with four children: Donna, Linda, Gary, and Vicki. He later married his sweetheart, Dorothy “Ginger” Froede, and to this union gained four children: Al, Janet, Chrystal, and David. Marvin and Ginger were blessed with forty-six years of marriage before her passing December 4, 2020. Marvin was a hard worker and provided for his families throughout his life. He worked for many years at Proctor and Gamble before moving to Salem. Marvin than started working in the maintenance department at Salem Memorial District Hospital before retiring. Marvin was an avid outdoorsman and loved to camp, hunt, fish, and hike. He was always looking for a good deal at auctions. Marvin loved going on trips and went on several family vacations out west visiting the beautiful country. Marvin enjoyed the country life, riding his tractor, and raising cows. In his spare time, he like reading books and his Bible. Marvin was a man of great faith, served as a deacon, and loved going to church. Marvin was a loving, kind, loyal, compassionate man who had a strong love and dedication for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marvin departed this life January 31, 2022 in St. Peters, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving children: Donna Moeller and husband Rick of Jefferson City, MO, Linda Inman of St. Peters, MO, Gary Weible and wife Karen of St. Peters, MO, and Vicki Weible and Reese Johnson of St. Louis, MO; stepchildren: Al Froede and wife Julie of St. Peters, MO, Janet Switzer and husband Bill of Illinois, Chrystal Gilbert and husband Mike of Wentzville, MO, and David Froede of St. Peters, MO; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death, wives: Darlene Weible and Dorothy Weible; son-in-law: Bernie Inman; parents: Clarence and Dessie Weible; and siblings: Edwin Weible, Homer Weible, Hazel Ulen, Eileen May, and Gerald Spuhler. Marvin will be remembered by his family as a proud veteran who loved to wear his Korean hat. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he left behind. Marvin will be forever missed but never forgotten. Funeral Services for Marvin Earl Weible were held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Mike Gorman officiating. Brian Inman shared the obituary and memories were shared by a loving granddaughter. Song selections played were “In the Garden”, “How Great Thou Art”, “It Is Well With My Soul”, and “When I Get Where I’m Going”. Serving as Pallbearers were Jake Weible, Nick Weible, Jared Inman, Trevor Inman, Mike Ulen, and Sammy Ulen. Honorary Pallbearers were Jaxon Weible and Jim Weible. Military Honors were provided by the Missouri Honors Team and American Legion Post 99. Burial was in the Stone Hill Cemetery.
