Paul Ivan Holzschuh

Paul Ivan Holzschuh was born March 30, 1940, in Bland, Missouri, to James Chester and Gladys (Franklin) Holzschuh. He grew up in Bland and graduated with the Class of 1959 from Bland High School. In June of 1963, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge. On March 2, 1963, Paul was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Dianne Sue Jannick. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Paul and Dianne were blessed with two daughters: Paula and Pamela, seven grandchildren: Britney, Kyle, Madison, Kasey, Briana, Brooklyn, and Korie; and ten great-grandchildren: Drew, Will, Luke, Cora, Kylie, P.J., Emmy, Sadie, Harper, and Charlee. Paul worked for many years at the International Shoe Factory. A devoted and dedicated employee, he worked his way up to a superintendent position. In his retirement years, he stayed busy and was always working on something. Paul adored the thrill of fast cars. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved Corvette. He loved the Christmas season and was a St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan. His faith in the Lord was evident in every aspect of his love. Above all, making memories with his family was most important to him and brought him immense joy. Paul entered his Heavenly Home December 31, 2025, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years. Those left behind to treasure his memory include his wife: Dianne Holzschuh of Salem, MO; daughters: Paula Land of Salem, MO, and Pam Auten and husband James of Salem, MO; brother: Carl Holzschuh and wife Karon of Texas; grandchildren: Britney Christesen and husband Phil, Kyle Parks and wife Jessica, Madison Auten and wife Lauren, Kasey Parks and wife Alley, Briana Thompson and husband Matt, Brooklyn Bradford and husband Randall, and Korie Larson; great-grandchildren: Drew, Will, Luke, Cora, Kylie, P.J., Emmy, Sadie, Harper, and Charlee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: James Chester and Gladys (Franklin) Holzschuh; brother: Don Holzschuh; sister: Mary Creek; and son-in-law: Tim Land. Paul was known for his integrity, his quiet strength, and his unwavering kindness. He was a good man, always present for his family and friends, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. His legacy of compassion and hard work will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be forever missed. Funeral Services were held January 6, 2026, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Phil Christesen officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Kyle Parks, Kasey Parks, Korie Larson, Matt Thompson, Randall Bradford, P.J. Parks, Jamie Holzschuh, and Mike Creek. Burial with Military Honors was in the Mt.
