Remey Richard Ratliff

Remey Richard Ratliff was born August 26, 1947, to Alec and Wanda (Thomas) Ratliff. He was born and raised in Frenchburg, Kentucky. Remey enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge. On November 7, 1969, Remey was united in marriage to Diana Lee Keller while in Denver, Colorado. They shared the last fifty-four years creating lasting memories together. Remey and Diana were blessed with two daughters: Rena and Chantay. Remey was a hard worker and took great pride in providing for his family. He was a concrete truck driver and worked for Mobile Premix in Denver, Colorado, for eighteen years before retiring. In his spare time, Remey enjoyed fishing, especially at Grand Lake and Fraser Lake in Colorado. He loved working with his hands, tied fishing flies, and wood working. He was the go-to guy for anything, a true jack of all trades. Remey liked tinkering in mechanics, fixing weed eaters, lawnmowers, and vehicles. Remey was one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Salem. He was a ministerial servant and helped others come and learn the Bible. He was spiritually minded, reliable, and conscientious. Remey fell asleep in death on April 20, 2024, in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years. He is survived by his loving wife: Diana Ratliff of Salem, MO; daughters: Rena Renee Cook of Denver, CO and Chantay Renee Ratliff of Federal Heights, CO; grandson: Remey Hunter and Roberta; great-grandchildren: Damon and Jaxxson; siblings: Robert Ratliff and wife Mary of Denver, CO; nephew: Robert Ratliff Jr.; niece: Charlotte Carlock; great-nephew: Jamaree Carlock; a spiritual family of brothers and sisters; extended family and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Alec and Wanda Ratliff. Remey will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who loved him most. Celebration of Life for Remey Richard Ratliff were held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Salem, Missouri, with Michael Lindstrom officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Remey Ratliff to Worldwide Work for Jehovah’s Witnesses and left with Wilson Mortuary. Memorial Envelopes will be available.
