Shirley Elizabeth (Berry) Davis

Shirley Elizabeth (Berry) Davis was born March 28, 1947, in Salem, Missouri to Fred and Myrtle (Schafer) Berry. She grew up in Dent County and attended Upper Parker Community School. Shirley was united in marriage October 28, 1966, to the love of her life, Darrell Davis and together shared fifty-six years of memories. Shirley and Darrell were blessed with two children: Beth and Dale. Shirley was a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her home and truly enjoyed cooking and cleaning. Spending time with her family brought her greatest joy, especially time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley loved helping Darrell work cattle on the family farm. In her spare time, she liked watching television, especially comedies and game shows. Shirley was a lady of faith and attended Salem First Baptist Church. Shirley departed this life November 19, 2022, in Rolla, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving husband Darrell Davis of Rolla, MO; daughter: Beth Morris of St. Robert, MO; brother: Boyd Berry of Salem, MO; sister: Coreen Williamson of Gladden, MO; grandchildren: Carl Dale Morris of Waynesville, MO and Elizabeth Morris of St. Robert, MO; great-grandchildren: Jayden and Eliana; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Shirley is preceded in death by, her son: Dale Davis; parents: Fred and Myrtle Berry; and siblings: Virginia Jones and Willa Dean Berry. Shirley was always there for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and friendly spirit. She was well loved by many and will be forever missed. Funeral Services for Shirley Elizabeth (Berry) Davis were held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Joel Hayworth officiating. Song selections played were “When The Morning Comes” and “Because He Lives”. Serving as Pallbearers were Marvin Davis, Edmond Davis, David Medlock, Denver Medlock, Dale Morris, and Randy Watson.
