Terry Dean Hatcher

Terry Dean Hatcher was born September 21, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ulysses and Mary (Acreage) Hatcher and passed away June 2, 2019 at his home in Salem, Missouri at the age of fifty-nine years. Terry grew up in St. Louis and moved to Licking, Missouri at 17 years of age. On February 1, 2018, Terry and Claudean were united in marriage in Houston, Missouri. Terry loved hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed walking through the woods always looking for his next hunting spot. In the early 1980's, Terry placed 2nd in the Texas County Wishbone Yelper Championship for turkey calling. He loved spending time with his family. Terry was a member of Walking Faith Ministries of Salem. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ulysses and Mary Hatcher; brothers, Dale Hatcher and James Hatcher; and sister, Dorothy Swafford. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Claudean Hatcher of the home in Salem, MO; two sons, Joshua Hatcher and girlfriend, April LaRue of Houston, MO, and Gerald Hatcher of Rolla, MO; four step-children, Kristy Brown and husband, Justin of Salem, MO, Kara Sykes and husband, Jonathan (Luke) of Salem, MO; Eric Click and wife, Sheena of Ellington, MO; Anthony Chacin of Washington, D.C.; two special children, James Hatcher and Jamie Hatcher; one brother Gerald Hatcher of Cuba, MO; fourteen grandchildren, Summer Kerr and husband, Michael; Lucas and Allison Hatcher; Edward, Angel, and Brendan McElfresh; Austin and Kendra Brown; Rylea, Choee, and Baylen Click; Bethany and Samuel Sykes; Rhea Chacin; two special grandchildren; Haley Gragg and Samuel Giller; several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and special dog, Skeeter. Terry will be sadly and deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral Service for Terry Dean Hatcher was held Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Everett Perkins officiating. Song selections played were: "A Living Prayer", "Angels Among Us", "Outskirts of Heaven" and "I'll Fly Away". Serving as Pallbearers were: David Hunter, Edward L.R. McElfresh, William Click, Jeff Breedlove, Mark Young and Grover Bolt. Honorary Pallbearer: Gerald Lee Hatcher. Burial was in the Mount Hermon Cemetery. All arrangements were under the care and direction of Wilson Mortuary Salem, Missouri.
