Verna Lou (Fowler) Inman

Verna Lou (Fowler) Inman was born August 22, 1942, in Salem, Missouri to William Guy and Ada Vivian (Whitaker) Fowler. She grew up in Salem, Missouri and graduated with the class of 1960 from Salem High School. On June 16, 1961, Verna was united in marriage to the love of her life, Perry Edward Inman. They shared sixty-two years making lasting memories together. Verna and Perry were blessed with five sons: Kent, Kerry, Kevin, Kendall, and Kasey. Verna was a talented seamstress and enjoyed working with her hands. Throughout her working career she worked at Salem Sportswear, Hagales Factory, and retried from Briggs and Stratton. Verna was passionate about sewing and making quilts for her loved ones. She also enjoyed gifting quilts for special occasions, especially for new baby arrivals. Verna cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed going on outings with Perry. Her sons and their wives were her greatest joy, and she treasured each and every moment spent with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Verna was a lady of faith, love, and kindness. She was a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church and lately enjoyed attending Dry Fork Baptist Church. Verna entered into eternal rest February 2, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years. Those left behind to treasure her memory include her loving husband: Perry Inman of Salem, MO; sons: Kent Inman and wife Tammy of Salem, MO, Kerry Inman and wife Tina of Salem, MO, Kevin Inman and wife Melanie of MN; Kendall Inman and wife Tracie of Salem, MO, and Kasey Inman and wife Lisa of Salem, MO; brother: Jerry Fowler and wife Karen; grandchildren: Julie Malone and husband Calvin, Kimberly Roberts and husband Jay, Dustin Inman, Cheyanne Inman, Tessa Inman, Abigale Inman, Tyler Inman, Gregory Inman, Rebecca Large, Carac Inman, and Kassandra Inman; great-grandchildren: Cason, Colby, Cooper, Coleman, and Avenlee; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her parents: Guy and Ada Fowler; infant brothers: Emmett and Clyde Fowler; siblings: Delmar Fowler and wife Mac, Bill Fowler and wife Earlene, Lowell Fowler, and Sue Stagner and husband Donnie; and grandchildren: Kayla Inman, Dakota Inman, and Lucas Inman. Verna leaves behind a great legacy of love, devotion, and faith that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral Services for Verna Lou (Fowler) Inman were held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Joe Hubbs officiating. Song selections played were “In the Garden”, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, and “When I Get Where I’m Going”. Serving as Pallbearers were Dustin Inman, Kassandra Inman, Tyler Inman, Gregory Inman, Cason Malone, and Colby Malone. Honorary Pallbearers were her loving sons Kent, Kerry, Kevin, Kendall, and Kasey. Burial was in the Dry Fork Cemetery, Salem, Missouri. Condolences may be left online at www.wilsonmortuary.com
