Vernon "Jack" Warren

Vernon Jack Warren was born July 4, 1939 in Shannon County, Missouri to Laurel and Sylvia (Light) Warren and passed away September 7, 2018 in Phelps County Regional Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years. Jack grew up and attended school in Union Hill. He was united in marriage to Estalie Herren and to this union four daughters were born. Jack worked for the National Park Service and was manager for 32 years. He loved his job and being outdoors and around the river and his fellow co-workers. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially bow hunting, and riding his grandchildren on his 4-wheeler. He loved camping and boat riding, spending time with his family, working on his '40 Chevy, and playing with his dog, Bow; but above all he loved his family and having family gatherings. Jack was a member of Fellowship Tabernacle. Preceding him in death were his parents, Laurel and Sylvia Warren; brothers, Gary Warren, Danny Warren, infant Robert Warren, and Utah Warren; sister in law, Mabel Warren; brother in law, Charles Pankey. Jack Warren is survived by his wife, Estalie of the home; daughters, Laura McIntire and husband, Hal of Ellington, Vickie Payne and husband, Carl of Salem, Gail Lanham and husband, Scott of Bunker, and Glenda Williams and husband, Rocky of Bunker; sister, Beulah Pankey of Salem; sisters in law, Betty Warren, Rosalie Schoen, Della Crocker, Barbara Ivie, Darlene Burnham and husband, Larry, Rebecca Matthews, Jinny Self and husband, Dean; brother in law, Tommy Herren and wife, Jerra; grandchildren, J.R. Lanham and wife, Jamie, Brandon Williams and wife, Cassie, Whitney Hall and husband, Randy, Jeromy Tucker and wife, Jessica, Brad McIntire and wife, Jalisha, Brent Lanham, Samantha Lanham and husband, J.D., Jackie Tucker, and Dallas Lanham; 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral service for Vernon Jack Warren was held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Randy Ferguson officiating and special recorded selections were played. Serving as pallbearers were, J.R Lanham, Brandon Williams, Jeromy Tucker, Brad McIntire, Brent Lanham and Dallas Lanham. Burial was in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Shannon County.
